Does OHIP cover SKYE HEALTH physiotherapy or massage therapy services?

Unfortunately, OHIP does not cover Physiotherapy or Massage Therapy services at SKYE HEALTH.

I have been injured at work or in an Auto Accident. Can I attend treatment at SKYE HEALTH? What if my Insurance/Doctor or other practitioner has given me a script for another clinic?

Yes. We are skilled at the management of claims through WSIB and your MVA (Motor Vehicle Insurance) policies. You can see a Physiotherapist at SKYE HEALTH immediately following your injury or accident and do not need to have a Doctors referral prior to your assessment. We can assist with documentation and navigating your claims process. Often Insurance companies and even some Doctors and specialists will have preferred provider relationships. You are able to direct your care and choose the provider, like SKYE HEALTH, that best suits your needs.

Does private health insurance in Ontario cover my treatment?

Yes, you may get funding through your Extended Healthcare Benefits. The amount of coverage will depend on your policy. Some packages cover 100% of treatment and some will cover a percentage of treatment to a yearly amount.

What are the terms for payment and cancellation?

Payment is required at the time of your appointment. You can pay by cash, debit, credit or cheque. If you need to cancel your appointment we request that you provide as much notice as possible (at least 24 hours if possible). Fees do apply for late cancellation. We operate a cancellation list so if you need to cancel your appointment we can fill that appointment slot with another client needing treatment.

This varies case-by-case and depends on the services you are receiving. Physiotherapy assessments are 45 mins to 60 mins and treatments are 30 mins to 45 mins. Massage Therapy appointments are available for 30/45/60/75 and 90 minutes. Pilates classes are 45 mins to 60 mins.
