At SKYE HEALTH we offer a variety of Group Exercise Classes. Classes are small to ensure individualized attention for each participant. A variety of resistance and stability equipment is utilized. Participants must be familiar with Pilates Basic Principles. All Pilates classes are instructed by Physiotherapists and Physio Assistants with training in the STOTT PILATES method.

Beginner/Intermediate Pilates (60min)
|This mat based workout is designed to help participants establish core strength and stability, develop longer leaner muscles, heighten mind-body awareness for improved posture and ease of movement, and to rehabilitate from injuries. (Maximum 8 )|
Intermediate Pilates (60 min)
|For more challenge, this level takes participants through dynamic, full-body exercises that challenge core strength and stability. A variety of resistance and stability equipment is utilized. Participants must be familiar with Pilates Principles. (Maximum 8)|
Core, Strength, Stability Circuit (60min) **NEW**
|This class utilizes a variety of equipment and exercises to strengthen, lengthen, stabilize and balance the whole body. Participants move through each exercise in a circuit with modifications to make exercises easier or more challenging as needed. (Maximum 8)|
Mindfulness Yoga (60 min)
A gentle yoga class that incorporates movement, stretches and breath practices. Helpful for managing stress, improving strength and flexibility and finding a sense of ease in the mind and body. This practice may also benefit patients who suffer from anxiety and chronic pain.
Dr Louise Hull is medical doctor with many years experience in mental health. She has traditional training in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness based and Sensorimotor approaches. Through her experience in patient care and personal experience with yoga, she now focuses her practice on non-pharmacological therapy incorporating Mindfulness and Yoga – the original mind-body therapy. (Maximum 6)
Cost: $12.50 per class
Exercise Class Policies
in-person Group Exercise classes are covered under most Extended Benefits Physiotherapy services. To claim under Extended Benefits an Initial Assessment by a Physiotherapist, or a referral from a doctor may be required.
At SKYE HEALTH classes are booked in advance and class sizes are kept small to ensure individual attention. We require 24 hour cancellation notice or the session fee will apply.
